Rosha Nutt is a London-based painter, printmaker and art educator known for her multi-layered floral and landscape works. She combines painting and pastels to capture sensory memory and moments in time. Rejecting sharp photographic detail, she creates fluid, atmospheric worlds built through rich colour and intuitive gesture, inspired by British gardens, flora, and shorelines.
Her new series marks a shift toward a more sensory, internal landscape. Inspired by her en plein air painting, she moves beyond direct observation. These new paintings explore the interplay between raw canvas texture, wash, and vivid colour. Stained linen surfaces ground the quiet rhythm of distant skies, shifting light, and dynamic flocking birds, translating physical movement across the Heath into an emotional presence. The works balance an obsession with fleeting weather with a contemporary, intuitive approach to space, line, and atmosphere.
Rosha studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins and Middlesex University, then worked as an advertising art director, creating campaigns with model Kate Moss and photographer Rankin. Her career highlights include exhibiting her cyanotype print October Posy at The Royal Cambrian Academy, having two prints acquired for The Dorchester Hotel in London, and showing her Flowerbeds series at The Other Art Fair.
